Due to popular demand we are hoping to open the Gardens in May 2015.

Although we have retired we feel it is a shame not to share with others what is such a beautiful place.

However!

and it is a big However; we cannot open the Gardens without it being a safe place.

I.E. we need help in preparing it for folk to walk around.

Hence we are looking for volunteers to help with maintenance of footpaths, fences, seating. We also need help with preparing the gardens, now and in the Spring. This involves weeding bracken, rosebay willow herb, nettles, etc. edging lawns, dead-heading Rhododendrons, pruning, etc.

If we can't get the help, we won't open the Gardens.

Please telephone David or Elizabeth on 01663 733787 thank you.

The May Bank Holiday weekend in 2014 was a great success for the RSPB despite the weather. Thank you to all who bothered to visit. The display was fantastic; the best ever in fact and many were astounded by what they saw.

Would you enjoy being in the countryside, out in the fresh air, in a beautiful, secluded valley? Then why not volunteer and join

"The Friends of Dunge Farm Conservation Scheme"?

Covering some 120 acres of woodland, pasture, water meadows, ponds and incorporating
Dunge Valley Gardens it is a delightful setting to help maintain the area for the birds and wildlife in general.

We can provide a range of experience to anyone wanting to help from gardening, planting, fencing, dry stone walling; in other words experience for just about anyone who enjoys the peace and quiet and the scenic setting.

As we have one of the most extensive collections of
Rhododendrons in the area it might also be of great value for those who wish to go on to a career in gardening at a Stately home, etc.

No experience necessary.

Telephone 01663 733787 and ask for David or Elizabeth Ketley
